The Opportunity

Seaqure Labs is raising investment to scale a proven solid-state fermentation platform that converts low-value agri-food side streams into sustainable, functional protein ingredients — a real alternative to animal protein and yeast in feed formulations for fish, pets and animals in general.

The Problem

Feed producers face growing pressure to reduce reliance on animal-derived proteins and yeast-based ingredients, while sourcing more sustainably and locally. Many alternatives on the market are costly to scale or still depend on imported raw materials.

Our Solution

Using mycelium-based solid-state fermentation, we upgrade agri-food side streams — such as rapeseed meal and brewery residues — into high-quality protein ingredients, produced locally and sustainably, without competing with human food supply.

Validated, Not Just Lab-Scale

Our technology has already proven itself outside the lab: a feed trial using our fermented ingredient in laying hen diets resulted in eggs sold in grocery stores across Sweden — real market validation. We are also a partner in EU Horizon-funded projects (CBE JU) extending our platform into aquafeed applications.

Clear Path to Scale

We have a defined scale-up roadmap:

• 200 tonnes/year pilot line/demo facility — construction starting 2027, operational 2028

• 5,000 tonnes/year

• 10,000 tonnes/year

Each step is designed to de-risk the next, growing production in line with market demand and proven unit economics.

The Ask

We are raising a €3.5m investment to fund our pilot line/demo facility and accelerate our path toward commercial scale.
