Support Indigenous Peoples Initiatives
Lead on Brazil / Manager/ Executive committee member at Cultural Survival
Vienna, Austria
About
Through Cultural Survival’s Youth for Climate initiative in partnership with ipam.org.br, we supported Indigenous youth leaders across Brazil with training on climate justice, territorial governance, communications, and community-based adaptation. The program combined advocacy, radio and media engagement, and the development of local climate adaptation plans, strengthening Indigenous youth leadership in global and territorial climate action. The initiative also connected with broader efforts such as the Cobra Canoa Initiative, advancing discussions on transforming philanthropic landscapes by shifting resources, decision-making, and climate finance toward Indigenous-led governance, self-determination, and long-term territorial stewardship.
