Mycelium Composite Materials
About
Myconom develops lightweight, bio-based composite materials using mycelium to transform agricultural and textile waste into high-performance materials. Our technology replaces conventional petroleum- and mineral-based materials such as polyurethane foam, EPS, fiberglass and PET felt with low-carbon, biodegradable and VOC-free alternatives. The materials combine low density with acoustic and thermal performance, making them suitable for construction, interior architecture and other applications where lightweighting, material efficiency and reduced embodied carbon are critical. Myconom’s current commercial focus is mycelium-based acoustic panels, with ongoing development toward scalable production and broader applications in lightweight components and composite materials.
