About
humm3 Enterprise is ideally suited for industrial applications, as it can be mounted on a robot. Optional configurations allow the heating of multiple fiber tows with independent temperature profiles. humm3 Discovery systems are ideally suited for research and development.
humm3’s broadband output enables a single system to be tailored for a variety of materials without the increased safety concerns associated with a laser.
The high peak powers and instantaneous temperature heating ramp-up and cool-down capabilities allow humm3 to process complex dry fiber and thermoplastic composite parts significantly faster ̶ hundreds of times faster ̶ than traditional infrared heaters.
Additionally, humm3 heads can be configured in tandem to achieve wider heating widths, which greatly improves material deposition rates. In certain configurations, each fiber tow can be heated according to a unique heating profile.
