About

eCon is continuously seeking for opportunities in participating in EU funded R&D projects as consortia partner or subcontractor

We can offer the full portfolio of our simulation services, R&D capacities (including further development or utilization of our in-house software solutions - see them in the listed opportunities) or material testing capabilities.

Company eCon Engineering Kft has been involved in recent years in numerous domestic and EU funded R&D projects in wide range of engineering disciplines such as: method developments to increase preciseness in composite simulation and strength/fatigue analysis, application of artificial intelligence and machine learning in engineering problems as well as design optimisation, or entropy-based fatigue prediction of metals.  As a member of an international consortium, eCon participated in a European Union-funded H2020 project (GV-05-2017, Agr.Nr.: 769826) to increase the range of an electric car. As a result of these efforts, Econ has started building its own engineering software portfolio currently providing automated assistance in the following areas: nonlinear constitutive material model fitting tool to raw test data related to polymeric materials; numerical simulation based fatigue lifespan estimation plug-in for composite components, as well as a simplified and generic platform for the design and analysis of rotating blades built from composites. The number of R&D employees at the company exceeds 30.

The central office of eCon Engineering Ltd. (Address: 1116 Budapest, Kondorosi út 3) is easily accessible for both business partners and our employees due to its location. Out of a total floor area of 2,400 square meters, 1,100 square meters are dedicated to workshops and storage areas—within the workshop, the company has established its own measurement laboratory for physical tests. In addition, there are 1,300 square meters available for office spaces and social blocks, where 100 workstations have been set up, 80 of which support our engineering activities.

In terms of infrastructure, we have all the necessary physical resources at our disposal, including: own workshop, in-house test lab, a high-capacity computer fleet to support engineering simulations, and high-performance servers.
