The Division of Biotechnology and Applied microbiology hosts world-class expertise in enzyme and microbial technology, metabolic and protein engineering, synthetic biology, and bioprocessing. The division counts over 50 researchers and staff working at the interface of microbiology, chemistry, and engineering.
