Jaffe Policy Consulting LLC (JPC) is a firm focusing on providing strategic advice and insights, problem analysis, and up-to-date information on federal and international policies and programs involving agriculture, food, the environment, climate, and sustainability. We provide support to companies, non-profit institutions, trade associations, philanthropic organizations, and higher education institutions that want to understand, influence, or comply with national and international laws, regulations, and policies affecting food and agriculture.

Gregory Jaffe, President of JPC, is an international food and agriculture expert with a passion for advocating for innovative scientific and technological applications that improve sustainability, advance food and nutrition security, and address environmental concerns. He has worked for 35 years establishing and implementing laws, regulations, and policies involving agriculture, food, and the environment. From 2023-2025, Greg was Senior Advisor for Regulatory Affairs to the USDA Secretary. He was the Chief Regulatory Officer and led USDA’s efforts to develop the domestic bioeconomy by providing strategic direction for policies and investments involving biomanufacturing, biotechnology, biofuels, and biobased products. Other areas Greg worked on included: food safety, PFAS, pesticides, cell-cultured meat, food loss and waste, feed additives, and USDA research and development investments.

From 2001-2023, Greg worked at the Center for Science in the Public Interest leading their policy work involving innovative food products and technology, representing CSPI before Congress and the Executive Branch. Greg conducted capacity building, policy analysis, and technical expert support for agricultural development policies and regulations for countries in sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia. He advised those government officials on agricultural policy and trade and supported negotiating and implementing international treaties
