German Aerospace Center (DLR) – Institute of Low-Carbon Industrial Processes
About
The Institute of Low-Carbon Industrial Processes at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) focuses on developing innovative technologies and solutions to support the decarbonization of industry.
Our research aims to reduce CO₂ emissions from energy-intensive industrial processes by improving energy efficiency, integrating renewable energy sources, and developing alternatives to fossil-based technologies.
Our main research areas include high-temperature heat pumps, simulation and virtual design of industrial processes, and low-carbon reducing agents. Through these activities, we work towards making industrial processes more energy-efficient, sustainable, and economically viable.
We actively collaborate with industry partners, research institutions, and technology providers to bridge the gap between scientific research and practical industrial applications.
We are interested in exchanging knowledge, understanding real-world industrial challenges, exploring innovative technologies, and identifying opportunities for joint research, technology development, and future collaborations that can help accelerate industrial decarbonization.
