associate professor
Ankara University
Ankara, Türkiye
Ass. prof. at the Uni. of Ankara, and TÜBİTAK fellow. Principal investigator at the Turkish Accelerator Radiation Laboratory and founder of AECL.
Throughout my career, I have developed cutting-edge instruments and experimental methods, including a flow tube chemical ionization mass spectrometer (FT-CIMS) for reaction kinetics studies (my PhD), an isotope ratio mass spectrometry for understanding H2/D2 variations (at Max-Plank Institute), an aerosol mass spectrometer for understanding the long-range atmospheric transportation of aerosols to the polar regions (at the University of Waterloo) and a real time atmospheric sampler chemical ionization mass spectrometer for the FAAM research airplane and ultra- violet photoelectron spectrometer with hemispheric analyser to study gas phase reaction kinetics (at the University of Manchester). The results of my work contributed to numerous high-ranked publications in the field of reaction kinetics and atmospheric chemistry and contributed to the University of Manchester and Ankara University rating in research outputs. In fact, the University of Ankara saw a rise in international research output ranking due to my and my colleagues’ work.
