Biography:
Florin Irimescu is an entrepreneurial and results-driven professional with a diverse background in forestry, fine foods, and the fish industry. He has a proven track record of successfully introducing new products to the market and innovating in the food industry.
Currently, Florin Irimescu is the CEO of Bluana Foods, a food tech startup founded in 2022 that produces plant-based seafood alternatives.
Before Bluana Foods, he was the Chief Executive Officer at VALEPUTNA, a gourmet food company specializing in sustainable organic fish products that won numerous international awards.
Earlier in his career, Florin Irimescu worked as a Forestry Manager at Romsilva - Romanian National Forest Administration.
He holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor's Degree in Forestry Engineering. He is also knowledgeable in quality systems such as HACCP, ISO 9001 & 14001, FSC, and CSR. Florin Irimescu is fluent in English and Spanish, and proficient in several other languages including French, Italian, German, and Portuguese. He has experience in securing EU grant funding and implementing related projects.
