My organisation
UEDAŞ is electric distribution utility company at Turkiye. UEDAŞ has over 3.5 million customers and supply energy with over 27.000 MV/LV transformers, 53.000 km MV and LV line. UEDAŞ demand power is around 2500 MW and responsible area 35.500 km2. UEDAŞ provide services to customers with 2.500 employee who has profession in electric utility services. UEDAŞ make around 90 million Euro investment to grid every year. UEDAŞ has 4% technical and commercial losses ratio. UEDAŞ has strong IT and OT infrastructure such as GIS, AMR, SCADA, OMS, DMS, CRM etc. UEDAŞ has R&D department and working on improvement of electric distribution system, energy storage systems, e-mobility, renewable energy, distributed energy, hydrogen, energy communities, virtual power plant, digital twin, AI application on DSO systems etc. UEDAŞ has 5 Horizon Europe project supported by EU, project name are VPP4ISLANDS, MASTERPIECE, FLEXCHESS, DERISK, ECHO. UEDAŞ also is conduction national R&D projects which is supported by Turkish Energy Regulatory (EMRA).
About me
I received a full scholarship to study in the department of energy systems engineering at Bahçeşehir University and i graduated from there by taking all courses in English with honour degree. My capstone Project was about peer to peer energy trading with blockchain in 2018. I went to Netherlands with erasmus program. I had studied minor flexible energy technologies in Hanze University of Applied Science. I have two internship experiences. One of them was in a natural gas combined cycle power plant in which i learnt how to generate electricity by using conventional technologies in Bursa. The other one was in a solar energy EPC firm in which i learnt how to design off-grid solar energy in Maslak/İstanbul. I got my master degree from İstanbul Technical University in the department of Energy Science and Technologies in 2023. I used to work as research assistant in BAU in the department of Energy Systems Engineering. I have been working as R&D engineer for UEDAŞ which is a DSO company. As UEDAŞ R&D department, we are conducting Horizon and EMRA research projects and, I am responsible Horizon MASTERPIECE and FLEXCHESS projects. I have gotten energy manager certificate (enerji yöneticisi sertifikası) given by Energy And Resources Ministry. I have a certificate of energy law given by BAUSEM. My interest areas are electric vehicles, data science, distributed generation, smart energy, renewable energy resources, energy efficiency.
