ACR Materials GmbH is an Austrian materials company developing innovative materials and scalable manufacturing solutions for green technologies, including hydrogen energy, renewable gases, and CO₂ capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS), bridging scientific excellence with industrial impact for a sustainable future.
ACR Materials GmbH is currently focusing on an FFG-funded research project, GARFIELD, with Montanuniversität Leoben and Universität Wien, advancing proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs) through next-generation gas diffusion electrodes (GDEs) based on carbonized nanofibers with functional nanoparticles. The project enables more efficient, scalable, and cost-effective fuel cell systems aligned with EU and Austrian hydrogen strategies.
We partner on pilots, joint R&D projects, and benchmarking, applying our Catalytic Material Platform beyond hydrogen fuel cells and electrolyzers to CCUS and other applications that can use our CNFM and nanoparticle know-how.
From R&D coupons to bulk rolls, we supply low-platinum gas diffusion electrodes (GDEs) so partners can test our technology in their own MEA and stack. Custom nanoparticle loadings and catalyst-free GDL available on request.
