Cooperating with different private entities in CO2 sinks, artificial soils testing (companies working in our territory and living labs implementing technologies and EU funds, i.e. LOMARTOV, ECOCASTULUM)
Last Demo site implemented: Demonstration site for testing new technologies in the agro-forestry sector in Aragón region. 25 ha pilot of cereals cultivation (Triticum aestivum, Hordeum vulgare, Onobrychis viciifolia) and 200 ha of Mediterranean Forest area in ‘Maestrazgo Mountains’ to monitor the relation between soil quality and SFM, forestry ecosystem biodiversity, climate change effects and resilience studies.

Commitment to Innovation and Rural Development
AICFD combines the practical experience of its living labs with the execution of pioneering projects such as FOCAL and IT4EST. These experimental spaces, which cover livestock, agriculture, fertilizer testing, soil studies, and forest management, enable the evaluation and validation of new technologies and methodologies under real-world conditions.
AICFD’s vision is centered on the pursuit of comprehensive solutions that combine applied research with technological innovation, contributing to the sustainable development of rural areas. With a strong commitment to society and the environment, the association promotes active community participation and cooperation between the public and private sectors, strengthening the resilience of agroforestry systems in the face of current challenges.
