ASATA – Agrupación de Sociedades Asturianas de Trabajo Asociado y Economía Social

ASATA is a regional social economy organisation based in Asturias, Spain, representing and supporting social economy enterprises and promoting sustainable, inclusive and innovative territorial development.

Our main areas of work include social economy, circular economy, just transition, social innovation, rural and territorial development, blue economy, energy transition, inclusive employment and community-based innovation.

ASATA develops and participates in Living Lab approaches and co-creation processes involving social economy enterprises, SMEs, public authorities, civil society, citizens and other territorial stakeholders. We have experience in stakeholder engagement, participatory governance, capacity building, training, dissemination, exploitation, transfer and replication of innovative solutions in real territorial contexts.

Our current work includes initiatives related to circular construction and construction and demolition waste, recovery and reuse of industrial areas, energy communities and decarbonisation, blue economy and marine-related innovation, rural development, long-term care and inclusive territorial transformation.

Through Lláscares, our social and circular economy hub, and our Living Lab experience, ASATA can contribute to Horizon Europe consortia by providing territorial pilot environments, access to companies and end users, stakeholder mobilisation, co-creation methodologies, social impact assessment, capacity building, dissemination, exploitation and replication activities.

We are particularly interested in joining multidisciplinary consortia where technological, environmental or scientific solutions need to be tested, adopted and scaled in real territories with strong involvement of local communities, companies and public authorities.
