Linköping University (LiU) is a Swedish research university conducting interdisciplinary research and education across engineering and natural sciences, medicine and health sciences, and social sciences and humanities. LiU has extensive experience in national and international collaborative research and participates actively in European research and innovation programmes, including Horizon Europe.
LiU combines expertise in life, health and environmental sciences with advanced analytical and molecular approaches. A particular strength is proteomics and metaproteomics, including their application to biological and environmental systems to investigate functional responses to pollutants and other stressors.
Our research interests span environmental health, exposomics, pollution, biodiversity, ecosystem health, and human health, with an emphasis on linking molecular and functional responses to higher-level biological and environmental effects. We are interested in interdisciplinary collaborations where proteomics and metaproteomics can contribute mechanistic evidence, biomarker discovery, environmental monitoring, and improved understanding of how environmental exposures affect biological systems.
This profile supports collaboration across both health- and environment-oriented Horizon Europe topics, including Cluster 1 and Cluster 6.
Seeking partners to investigate how PFAS exposure and mixtures affect biological function, biodiversity and ecosystem services, combining field evidence with mechanistic environmental proteomics and metaproteomics.
