Business for Nature: business engagement, policy and incentives expertise for transformative change (HORIZON-NATURE-2027-01-03)

Business for Nature is a global coalition of more than 100 business and conservation organizations working to make nature a business and policy priority. We are interested in joining a consortium for HORIZON-NATURE-2027-01-03 as a partner, bringing deep expertise at the interface between business and policy. We work with companies, governments and international processes, including the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework and the CBD COPs, to translate business needs and evidence into policy action. Our current focus on aligning financial and fiscal incentives with nature, including the reform of harmful subsidies, aligns with the call’s emphasis on indirect drivers, governance and incentives as leverage points for transformative change.

Within a consortium, we can lead or support multi-actor engagement and co-design with businesses, producers and policymakers; mobilize our coalition partners to test and pilot interventions across value chains such as agri-food, forestry and fisheries; and drive uptake of research results through policy recommendations, dissemination and our presence in EU and international policy forums. We are looking to partner with research institutions strong in behavioral science and systems approaches, and with organizations working with practitioners on the ground. We welcome early conversations with coordinators shaping a proposal.
