Liquionic: Disruptive PFAS-free & PGM-free Ionogel Membranes for Electrolyzers & Fuel Cells
CEO - Senior Advisor at Tárraga Consulting
Murcia, Spain
About
About Us & Technology (TRL 4) Liquionic (University of Murcia) develops patented ionogel membranes for clean energy production. Our scalable casting method overcomes the bottlenecks of current commercial standards (e.g., Nafion), offering a disruptive, drop-in solution.
Our Unique Selling Points:
• 100% PFAS-Free: Fully compliant with upcoming European REACH regulations.
• PGM-Free Compatible: Our ionic liquid environment enables non-critical metal catalysts (La, Co, Cu), drastically reducing CRM dependency.
• High-Temp & Hydration-Free: Stable operation at >120°C without complex water management systems.
• Top Performance: >10x lower HFR with minimal gas crossover.
Applications & Capabilities We supply custom Membrane Electrode Assemblies (MEAs) for PEM Electrolyzers, Fuel Cells, and gas separation. We cover the entire value chain in-house, from formulation to electrochemical validation.
What We Are Looking For Seeking to join Horizon Europe and CleanH2 consortia as a core R&D technology provider. We are looking for OEMs, integrators, and manufacturing scale-up partners.
