CALL 14 - HORIZON-CL4-2026-01-MAT-PROD-14 - Secondary Raw Materials Recycling - Characterization & Processing Expertise
Researcher at Fondazione Bruno Kessler
Trento, Italy
About
Our expertise supports the complete recycling value chain with focus on materials quality and process efficiency:
-
Materials Characterization: Complete analytical suite (XRD, XPS, SEM, EDX, ICP-MS, Raman, SIMS) for quality control, purity assessment, contamination detection.
-
Surface Engineering: Plasma treatments (PVD, PECVD, ALD) for recycled materials functionalization and valorization.
-
Process Optimization: TEA/LCA, process modelling, digital twins, energy/resource efficiency optimization.
-
Communication & Dissemination: Strong expertise in scientific communication, stakeholder engagement, and multi-channel dissemination strategies to maximize project impact and visibility.
We are particularly interested in projects focusing on:
-
Metal recycling with high-quality output (no downcycling)
-
Critical raw materials recovery
-
Energy-efficient separation and purification processes
-
Integration of characterization tools in recycling chains
-
Circular economy applications in energy and advanced manufacturing sectors
