Alessandra Vitale is currently Associate Professor at the Department of Applied Science and Technology, at Politecnico di Torino, in Italy. She is a Materials Engineer with a 15 years research experience in the field of polymeric materials. She obtained her Ph.D. in Materials Science and Technology from Politecnico di Torino in 2014. Then she was engaged as post-doctoral Research Associate at Imperial College London, in United Kingdom. From 2016 she joined Politecnico di Torino, and her research interests include the fabrication and characterization of functional nanofibrous polymeric membranes by electrospinning, as well as the synthesis and characterization of polymeric networks and polymer-based composites in the form of films via photo-induced processes, and their selective surface modification.
