Digital Innovation & Sustainability for Advanced Manufacturing
About
MECB, based in Malta, provides applied engineering, digital and sustainability expertise supporting smart, resource-efficient and energy-efficient manufacturing. MECB operates at the intersection of advanced manufacturing and digital transformation, contributing to solutions aligned with Twin Transition and Industry 5.0 objectives.
MECB applies systematic design and engineering methods — including Design-for-Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA) and other Design-for-X approaches, supported by digital enablers such as AI-based decision support, knowledge models and ontologies to improve technical feasibility, efficiency and sustainability across product and system lifecycles.
MECB also develops digital tools for capacity building and knowledge transfer, including AR-based training and visualisation resources and e-learning environments, supporting skills development, best-practice exchange and uptake of innovative solutions by industrial and public stakeholders.
With experience in collaborative EU projects, MECB contributes to stakeholder engagement, exploitation and impact activities, supporting the adoption and long-term value of project results.
