About
D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University (EKTU) is seeking collaboration under the Horizon Europe call HORIZON-CL4-INDUSTRY-2025-01-MATERIALS-62. EKTU has extensive experience in geological exploration, critical raw material processing, and metallurgical innovation, particularly for titanium, lithium, and rare earth metals. Our university operates advanced laboratories and has partnerships with key industrial players such as Kazzinc. We offer applied research capacities in mineral processing, sustainability assessment, and technology validation. We are especially interested in joining consortia as an industrial-academic partner contributing to demonstration activities (TRL 6–7), environmental and social impact assessments, and circular economy models. EKTU supports EU-Kazakhstan strategic partnerships on raw materials and aims to accelerate responsible and secure supply chains for critical resources.
