About

The DECORATOR project develops new methods to integrate the technological, socio-cultural, and economic aspects of circularity in architecture and building construction within the Danubian region. The model will include tools for assisting SMEs from construction sector to develop appropriate executive construction plans.

Elaboration of the DECORATOR model and related toolset will combine beauty, social innovation and sustainable circularity with the aim to demonstrate how the New European Bauhaus can support the implementation of circularity in the construction sector in conjunction of beautiful and sustainable objectives.

The pilot actions shall be continued with European partners by Horizon Europe projects within the following action areas.

•i mplementing circular economy concept by up-cycling of end-of-life materials across the value chain of construction and related supporting industries (HORIZON-CL4-TWIN-TRANSITION-35)

• developing on-site circular processes for re-use and re-cycling at construction sites by improved waste management (HORIZON-CL4-TWIN-TRANSITION-11)

• shared technology  development and engineering by clusters of social circular entreprises for scalable innovative techniques in the construction materials waste stream (HORIZON-CL4-TWIN-TRANSITION-21)

• aiming to realise new production processes with workspace innovation by capitalising on added value of human workers in human-machine interactions (HORIZON-CL4-TWIN-TRANSITION-39)

• following the human-centric aspects of the Industry 5.0 model by testing the flexibility, safety and well-being of workers at construction sites with pilot actions (HORIZON-CL4-TWIN-TRANSITION-02)

• developing pilot actions for system innovation by Industry 5.0 Community of Practice (HORIZON-CL4-HUMAN-65)
