Aethernova
About
Aethernova is a UK-based deep-technology company developing multimodal AI and human-sensing technologies for understanding human behaviour, interaction and functional state within immersive and real-world environments.
Our technology brings approaches developed for complex healthcare and human-state applications into XR and spatial computing, where understanding the person behind the interaction can be as important as creating the virtual environment itself.
We integrate XR with multiple sources of human data, including gaze, movement, interaction patterns, response timing, voice and compatible physiological and wearable signals. These capabilities can enable immersive systems to capture and interpret richer evidence about how people perceive, respond, interact, learn and function during structured experiences.
This creates opportunities beyond conventional XR interaction. Multimodal human-state information can support the development and validation of more human-centred, adaptive and evidence-informed immersive technologies across healthcare and well-being, education and training, human-computer interaction and other complex human-centred applications.
In healthcare and well-being, Aethernova is developing its capabilities around the requirements of complex human measurement, where information may need to be integrated across different behavioural and physiological modalities and interpreted with appropriate professional oversight.
We see significant potential to transfer this capability into wider virtual-world applications. In education and professional training, for example, immersive environments could move beyond recording task completion to understanding patterns of attention, interaction, response and performance. In human-computer interaction, multimodal sensing can provide richer evidence about how different people experience and respond to immersive systems.
Aethernova is seeking Horizon Europe consortium partners developing next-generation XR, virtual-world and human-centred technologies where our multimodal sensing and AI capabilities can provide a complementary technology layer.
We are particularly interested in collaborations involving multimodal sensing and integration, XR and wearable technologies, human-computer interaction, healthcare and well-being, education and training, technology validation, and real-world demonstration.
We can contribute technology and expertise at the intersection of XR, multimodal human sensing and AI, and are interested in working with universities, research and technology organisations, healthcare and public-sector organisations, technology developers, industry partners and end users to develop and validate next-generation human-centred immersive systems.
