University of Library Studies and Information Technologies (ULSIT)

The University of Library Studies and Information Technologies (ULSIT) situated in Sofia, Bulgaria is one of the leading universities in Bulgaria with modern and dynamic development and national and international recognition (http://www.unibit.bg) with 70 years of experience in the field of higher education. ULSIT is a  successor to the Library Institute, founded in 1950, later transformed into the College of Library Studies and Information Technologies (3 April 2003). It is deemed a state higher education institution announced as University in accordance with article 9, paragraph 2, section 1 of the High Education Law, and a Resolution of the 41 National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria from 29th September 2010, created with the National Assembly Resolution on 2 September 2004, transformed with a Resolution of the National Assembly on 2 September 2004.

The University is accredited by the Bulgarian National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency with a very high institutional score (9,33). According to the Ranking System for the Higher Education Institutions in the Republic of Bulgaria, ULSIT is in second place among universities and is one of the most desirable among prospective students and the students are realized on the market quickly and in good and managerial positions.

During the last 10 years ULSIT has become one of the most prestigious higher education institutions in Bulgaria, accredited by the National Accreditation and Evaluation Agency to deliver education in Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral degrees in four highly rated professional fields accredited by the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency:
