Yıldız Technical University is one of the seven public universities situated in Istanbul and the 3rd oldest university of Türkiye with its history dating back to 1911. Our university has 11 faculties, 2 institutes, 30 research and application centers (Hydrogen Res. Center, Biotechnology Excellence in Health Joint Application etc.), 300+ research labs (Radiation Tech. Res. Lab, Advanced System & Invention Lab. etc.,) and 21+ thematic research groups (Nanotechnology, Automotive, Robot tech., AI etc.); 1800+ academicians and 30.000+ students. According to the Council of Higher Education of Türkiye, YTU is ranked 5th out of 20 research universities that are eligible for entrepreneurs and innovative universities index. YTU Yıldız Teknopark (Technology development zone) that operates within the Davutpaşa Camps of YTU, hosts more than 700 technology companies, 10.000+ R&D Employees, announced as the most successful in the Technology Development Zones 2021 Performance Index three years in a row by the Ministry of Industry and Technology (2019/2020/2021), holds Türkiye’s largest incubation center area and Prototype Workshop. Also, Technology Transfer Office (TTO) under YTU Yıldız Technopark, has 6 main units (Corporate Communications, International Projects Department, University-Industry Cooperation, Project Support, Patent & Exploitation and Entrepreneurship & Incubation Center) As International Projects Unit we support our researhcers within the university and technopark to apply various international funds.
