Gulgun Kayakutlu

Prof. Dr. Gulgun Kayakutlu is an expert of Optimization using AI. She has International experiences in modelling and optimisation of energy systems. She was in the Management Committee of MIRIAD FW6 Project 2005-2008, and coordinator of CAMAPOLIS, H2020 project 2017-2018. Before joining the University, she was the founder and General Manager of Sybase Turkey, where she managed several real-time transaction projects in the private sector and many B2B projects in the Government sector. She developed strong international team-work skills while working for the OECD and the International Energy Agency for over 7 years in Paris (1982-1990). Hence, she continues working in the energy field. She wrote a book named “Intelligence in Energy” published by Elsevier in 2017 and co-edited “Computational Intelligence Applications in the Energy Field”, 2018 and "Decision Making Using AI in Energy & Sustainability" 2023. Kayakutlu has already supervised several graduate thesis and published more than 70 articles in SCI and SSCI reviews on Energy Optimization and Artificial Intelligence fields.
