THE TERRITORY

We are in Gela (CL), in the sun-drenched south of Sicily, where the sea dunes meet the breeze that gently caresses the vineyards of Casa Grazia. Absolute protagonist is nature, present all around the largest coastal lake in Sicily, included in the natural reserve "Riserva Naturale Orientata Biviere di Gela", sets the rhythm of the seasons and generates a micro- climate in which the vineyard benefit all-year round.

In this warm frame, the vineyards sink their roots in sandy and calcareous soils on the shores of the Biviere, giving their fruits a unique and unmistakable minerality, which finds exaltation and completion in the salinity of the sea breeze.

THE WINE CELLAR

The Casa Grazia Winery is set in a historical building of great value: a rural location of historical interest dating back to the end of 1800. Around the 50s, the fields and the original structure of the winery were bought by the Minister Salvatore Aldisio, prominent figure in the area of Gela, politician and benefactor devoted to his birthplace who left his heritage to the Church, specifying his wish of devoting his buildings and fields to the training of the young and to work. In fact, for decades, among the various activities carried out by the priests, there was the training of young cooks in the big kitchen, which is still present today and is used for great events and visits to the winery.

Nowadays, The Brunetti family continues this vocation, making the winery a welcoming place, a spot in which guests and employees can feel safe, just like at home. The renovaton work is the realization of the Brunetti family’s dream aimed at spreading cultural values in the territory.

THE COMPANY

Casa Grazia has its roots in an area rich in history, generous and welcoming, in an authentic and particularly expressive part of Sicily, of uncontaminated beauty.

The vineyards, between dunes, wind and sea, are ideally and geographically embraced by the Biviere Lake Natural Reserve, a saltwater lake capable of donating an unmistakable character to the fruits of its terroir: it is here that Maria Grazia Di Francesco Brunetti decided to give life to her dream, where good grapes become great wines.

The history of Casa Grazia began a long time ago, nurturing itself over the years with the love of a great couple that shares the passion and love for their land.

It was in the first years of 1900 when the Brunetti family undertook cultivation of their lands rich in

ancient rural identity. In the 80s, grape production starts but it is in the first years of 2000 that Maria

Grazia Di Francesco, enticed by her husband's passion, embraced the project of producing authentic, proud and sincere wines, ambassadors of this glimpse of Sicily.

WINES

Sincere, unique and recognizable wines, capable Organic wines which respect nature and man's of finding the right balance between character health and elegance. They tell us of a path of growth and great care, pouring in the glass the authenticity of a territory whose Lake, Earth and Sea form a unique and special trilogy. Every grape is nurtured with the utmost atention to obtain wines of a great expressive strength, diverse aromatic nuances and a distinctive and pleasant sapid note, characteristic which inevitably sets them in the terroir from which they are generated.

EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OILS

Within the same scenario and the same terroir, Casa Grazia cultivates, with a very rigorous biological process, olive trees with singular characteristics that move between dozens of cultivars that arrived in Sicily already with the Greek colonies of the sixth century BC.

The strong westerly winds bring with them the saltiness and scents of the Mediterranean scrub which they transfer themselves with determination to the quality, flavors and aromas of the oil.
