Professor since 1991 in the Mechanical Engineering Department of Instituto Superior Técnico. He is also co-founder of ERISING, aimed at promoting the talent and value of the clients by finding wastes and inefficiencies, and turn them into an opportunity of improvement. At IDMEC he is responsible for various research projects in the area of operational efficiency and sustainability, with national and European companies. He has over 20 years' experience in applying Lean and developing new tools, achieving more than 100 international scientific publications.
