About

Smart Power (formerly S2E2 – Smart Electricity & Energy Systems) is a French innovation cluster specialising in energy transition, smart energy and electricity systems, and power electronics. It is based in the Centre-Val de Loire and Pays de la Loire regions and brings together more than 220 members from industry, research and public administration – from start-ups to large corporations and research institutions.

Smart Power supports its members in the development and implementation of R&D&I projects at national and European level. The focus is on four scientific and technological priorities:

  1. Smart grids and integration of renewable energies,

  2. Energy efficiency in buildings and neighbourhoods,

  3. Electrical systems for sustainable mobility.

  4. Power electronics and innovative materials.

The cluster acts as a link between innovation players and actively promotes European cooperation, particularly within the framework of Horizon Europe, Interreg and other EU funding programmes. Smart Power offers targeted support in finding partners, project design and application submission.

We are open to new partnerships in the field of sustainable energy solutions, smart infrastructure and industry-related research.
