Industrial partner offering expertise in battery safety and power distribution – Horizon Europe CL5 (2026)

Smart Power Cluster is supporting one of its industrial members active in electrical power systems, battery safety and power distribution, currently seeking to join Horizon Europe Cluster 5 (2026) consortia under preparation.

The organisation is interested in collaborative R&I projects addressing, in particular:

• Next-generation lithium-based batteries for mobility, with a focus on safety, reliability, CCS and industrialisation;

• High-voltage and high-power electrical equipment, including components for HVDC systems and grids;

• Energy storage systems and their integration into existing infrastructures;

• Heavy-duty electric mobility, including high-voltage architectures and megawatt charging systems;

• Maritime and waterborne transport, with a focus on electrification, battery durability and onboard energy efficiency.

The industrial member can contribute as a technology provider with expertise in:

• battery safety and reliability at cell, module and pack level;

• electrical protection and monitoring devices;

• power distribution architectures (e.g. busbars, high-voltage DC protection);

• integration and validation of components in demanding operational environments (mobility, grids, maritime).

Smart Power Cluster acts as an intermediary and facilitator, ensuring confidentiality of its members, and is looking to connect with coordinators or partners currently structuring consortia under Horizon Europe Cluster 5.
