As TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (TÜBİTAK MAM), we conduct comprehensive research, development, and innovation activities aligned with Horizon Europe Cluster 5 – Climate, Energy and Mobility. Our core competencies and technological capabilities include:

  • Our expertise covers the full spectrum of renewable energy integration, power electronics, smart grids, and digital energy systems, including:

    • Power electronic systems for renewable grid integration, including micro, string, and central inverters

    • FACTS technologies (STATCOM, active power filters) and HVDC systems

    • Battery energy storage systems and control of high-power electrical machines

    • Power quality analysis and consultancy services

    • Real-time energy monitoring, analysis, and decision-support systems

    • Advanced data analytics, big data processing, machine learning, and deep-learning-based renewable energy forecasting

    • Grid optimization, planning, and advanced dynamic/static power system analyses (interconnection studies, master planning, feasibility and cost–benefit analyses)

    • Smart and innovative grid technologies, protection and coordination studies, grounding system design, and equipment performance assessment

    • SCADA, control, protection, and synchronization systems for renewable power plants

    • Digitalization, anomaly detection, and unmanned power plant technologies

    • Development of domestic control and monitoring software and grid information systems

    • Energy market and techno-economic analyses based on integrated grid–market modeling

    • International cooperation experience, including active participation in EU EERA Joint Programme on Hydropower

We are open to collaboration under Horizon Europe Cluster 5 calls and welcome partnerships with research organizations, industry, TSOs/DSOs, and technology providers in national and international R&I projects.
