Climate resilience and adaptation

DRAXIS Environmental is an organization actively engaged with R&D projects with a strong track record in Horizon Europe proposal preparation, implementation and coordination in the field of climate risk resilience and others (disaster risk management, climate neutrality, circular economy, etc.).

We combine scientific excellence in climate risk and vulnerability assessment and adaptation planning with advanced IT capabilities, including decision support systems, AI/ML techniques, and Earth Observation–based tools. Our work supports evidence-based decision-making for climate resilience, bridging research outputs with operational use by regions and local authorities.

DRAXIS currently acts as project coordinator in two Horizon projects on climate resilience — REHUBS and GREENFIT — and as a core partner in several projects (ICARIA, BIOTRAILS, REXUS, DATAWISE, etc.). DRAXIS also acts as a Member State Facilitator for providing technical support to regions in Greece and Cyprus under the Mission Implementation platform for Adaptation MIP4Adapt. Finally, DRAXIS is supporting Region of Attica under a Pathways2Resilience funded project.

Within CL5 Climate projects, we can contribute as coordinator or core technical partner, including WP leadership, in areas such as:

• climate projections, climate risk, impact and vulnerability assessment

• advanced weather forecasts and EWS

• design and monitoring of adaptation pathways

• digital decision support tools and dashboards

• AI/ML and EO-based climate analytics

• technical assistance to regions and local authorities

We are interested for collaboration with research organizations and other organizations with strong expertise on the field to cooperate for the preparation and submission of highly competitive proposals under HORIZON CL5 Climate calls.
