TRT is Looking for Partners - CLIMATE-TRUST – Fighting Climate Disinformation and Building Public Trust through Evidence-Based Media Communication

Senior Project Manager at TURKISH RADIO TELEVISION CORPORATION-TRT

Ankara, Türkiye

About

CLIMATE-TRUST is a flagship project concept proposed under HORIZON-CL5-2026-07-D1-04: Fighting disinformation and effectively communicating on climate change.

The project addresses a critical barrier to climate action: the spread of climate disinformation and the declining level of public trust in climate-related information. While climate science is robust, its translation into trusted and actionable public understanding remains insufficient, particularly within highly polarised digital media environments.

CLIMATE-TRUST develops an integrated, evidence-based framework that brings together:

AI-supported detection and analysis of climate disinformation narratives across media and digital ecosystems
Translation of climate science into trusted, audience-specific narratives using media and storytelling expertise
Behavioural and trust experiments (“Climate Trust Lab”) embedded in real public service media environments
Media pilots in multiple national contexts to validate impact, scalability and policy relevance

The project operates within public service broadcasting ecosystems, enabling real-world experimentation, large-scale audience reach and measurable societal impact. Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) are fully integrated to assess trust, polarisation and behavioural change.

TRT – Turkish Radio and Television Corporation is interested in acting as coordinator or core partner, leading communication design, media pilots and impact evaluation.

We are looking for partners with expertise in:
• Climate science and climate policy
• AI and data analytics (NLP, narrative analysis, monitoring tools)
• Social sciences and behavioural research
• Public authorities, policy and governance
• Public broadcasters and media innovation actors

The project targets strong societal impact, clear policy uptake and replicable solutions to strengthen resilience against climate disinformation.
