TRT – Public Service Broadcaster with Renewable-Energy Infrastructure: Partner for Cluster 5 (Climate, Energy, Mobility) Projects
Senior Project Manager at TURKISH RADIO TELEVISION CORPORATION-TRT
Ankara, Türkiye
About
TRT offers its unique combination of a large-scale public media ecosystem, advanced digital & AI infrastructure, and on-site renewable energy generation (solar power plant) to support multi-domain Horizon Europe Cluster 5 projects. TRT’s capabilities span climate communication, energy transition awareness, sustainable operation of data/media centres, mobility and behaviour-change outreach, AI-based media analytics, and large-scale public dissemination. TRT is open to joining as Partner or Co-Coordinator depending on project needs.
TRT's Added Value for Cluster 5
-
Clean Energy & Sustainable Operations: With the newly commissioned Van solar power plant delivering ~18 GWh/year — covering ~20% of internal electricity needs — TRT demonstrates commitment to green infrastructure and operational sustainability. This makes TRT a credible partner for projects focusing on energy efficiency, renewable energy deployment, green broadcasting/media infrastructure, sustainable ICT/data centres, and carbon footprint reduction.
-
Real-world Demonstration Site: TRT’s renewable-enabled broadcasting infrastructure can serve as a testbed for energy-related innovations, e.g., energy-efficient data centres, waste-heat recovery, renewable-powered ICT operations, or public-sector green transition pilots.
-
Synergy with Communication & Outreach Capabilities: TRT can combine its sustainable operations with its core strength in communication — enabling projects that not only deploy technical or energy-system solutions, but also incorporate behavioural change, public awareness, and citizen engagement around energy/climate topics.
-
Institutional Credibility and Public Mandate: As a national public broadcaster, TRT can bring legitimacy and broad societal reach — useful for societal acceptance, dissemination, and impact-oriented cluster projects.
