Decentralized H2 RES storage & distribution systems

About
Energy grids are under severe strain and struggle, or are even outright unable to cope with increasing demand. We need to decentralize. The hypothesis is that we can use RES e.g. solar PV and wind to produce and store energy locally, at the levels of neighborhoods or perhaps even regions, e.g. by tying into the 'Hydrogen Valleys' of the EU and implementing this at its maximum possible scale. Solutions should link into (and perhaps help realize) the hydrogen pipeline infrastructure being developed, and ideally be modular, in that full vessels may be transported for use elsewhere, e.g. from sun-rich Cyprus to industrial partners in Germany, or at least hydrogen-powered ships passing by (docking at) Cyprus.
