About
Founded in 2010, ANBIOTEC Brasil (Associação Nacional de Empresas de Biotecnologia e Ciências da Vida) is the leading national trade association representing the biotechnology and life sciences sectors in Brazil.
The association acts as a bridge between the private sector, academia, and government, through: (i) Government Advocacy: represents the sector before regulatory bodies like ANVISA (Health), MAPA (Agriculture), and INMETRO (quality rgulation), actively lobbying for a more robust regulatory environment and policies that support national sovereignty in health and technology; (ii) Strategic Partnerships: collaborates with major funding and research agencies such as FINEP, EMBRAPII, and BNDES to stimulate applied innovation; (iii) Market Support: offers members exclusive benefits, including "Exclusivity Declarations" (essential for public bidding/tenders), discounts on major international fairs like Hospitalar, and access to the SI9 Innovation Intelligence System; and (iv) Entrepreneurship: focuses notably on supporting startups and SMEs to help them navigate the transition from research to industrial-scale production.
