About

Hadean Energy - a spin-out from the CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency - is commercialising a breakthrough high-efficiency, low-cost tubular Solid Oxide Electrolyser (tSOE) technology for the production of green hydrogen and syngas for e-fuels. Our electrolyser technology is capable of steam electrolysis, CO2 electrolysis and co-electrolysis (H2O + CO2).

We are interested in talking to people who:

  • Are looking for next-generation electrolysers for their processes - at any scale - especially if you have waste heat available (e.g. >100 degrees Celsius)

  • Are interested in steam electrolysis for the production fo green hydrogen

  • Are interested in CO2 electrolysis and co-electrolysis for e-fuel production

  • Are potential manufacturing and technology development partners, with expertise in balance of plant and industrial integration

Hadean is Australia's leading SOE company. Our technology advancement enables hydrogen to be produced at a higher efficiency and lower cost than incumbent technologies – creating a key catalyst for the decarbonisation of hard-to-abate, fossil-fuel dependent industries, such as steel making, ammonia and methanol production. Additionally, Hadean’s technology can catalyse the shift to e-fuels through the production of low-cost syngas.

Hadean's breakthrough lies in our novel, high-performance electrode and tubular cell design - which reduces costs while improving durability, scalability and manufacturability. We have assembled a world leading team of SOE experts with over 100 years of hydrogen technology commercialisation and engineering experience.

Key benefits of tSOE include:

  • The ability to produce either green hydrogen or syngas for e-fuels

  • It integrates well with industrial processes, using waste heat to reduce electricity consumption

  • Lower manufacturing complexity and cost
