About

Founded in 2018 and winner of the European Union’s EIC Accelerator – Fit For 55 program, Materrup is a young industrial company committed to fighting climate change. With its patented Cold-activated Clay Cement (CCC®) technology platform, Materrup delivers a concrete, immediately effective solution to drastically reduce CO₂ emissions in the cement industry. Immediate carbon avoidance is at the core of our mission.

From the outset, our economic and industrial model has been designed to support existing manufacturers in their transition. By providing circular, low-carbon, and local materials, Materrup offers a credible and competitive pathway to sustainably transform construction.

MCC1®, the first cement from our CCC® platform, is already produced at our plant in the Landes region of France and is being used by ready-mix, precast, and construction partners on sites across Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Additional plants are currently being set up in France and across Europe to expand access to our technology and strengthen our local presence.

To scale our impact, Materrup continues to extend its partner network across the value chain:

  • Ready-Mix Concrete producers / Batching plants

  • Aggregates & Quarry operators

  • Cement producers & Industrial partners

This collaborative approach lies at the heart of our strategy: working side by side with industry players to accelerate the decarbonization of construction, foster local innovation, and contribute to a more sustainable and relocalized industrial model.

A simple, efficient, and proven cement
Our cements and concretes have already been tested and approved on real-world construction sites. Reliable and high-performing, they significantly reduce CO₂ emissions and resource consumption while ensuring the same ease of use as conventional cement. They integrate seamlessly into existing practices, tools, and teams, while delivering a naturally light, warm beige-grey finish derived from their clay-based composition.

By choosing Materrup, you are choosing a competitive, immediately operational, and responsible solution — already adopted by numerous partners — that contributes tangibly to building more sustainable, comfortable, and livable spaces.
