“Enhancing Adaptive Capasity of Manufacturing Sectors Vulnerable to Climate Change Through Risk Assesment (ClimaTech 4 Industry)” coordinated by Istanbul Chamber of Industry in partnership with TUBITAK MRC is co-financed by the European Union and the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change under the Climate Change Adaptation Grant Scheme.

The expected impact of the project on the target group and final beneficiaries is to contribute to enhancing the adaptive capacity of the manufacturing industry in Türkiye to climate change by supporting manufacturing companies by assessing climate-related risks and identifying adaptation measures in order to raise awareness of the private sector as a key partner in dealing with the adverse impacts of climate change and indirectly increase the resilience of communities and societies.

The Climate Change Adaptation Grant Program (CCAGP) is designed to support the implementation of climate change adaptation projects at local and regional level in Türkiye. CCAGP aims to increase the resilience of communities, protect natural resources and ecosystems, and build the adaptive capacity of vulnerable social groups as well as cities and economic sectors.

The institutional framework of the “Climate Change Adaptation Grant Program (CCAGP)” consists of the following institutions and organizations:

• Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Climate Change Directorate, is the Final Beneficiary.

• Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Directorate General for European Union and Foreign Relations, Directorate General for European Union Investments is the Contracting Authority.

• Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye.

• United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Türkiye Office is the Technical Assistance Team.
