CEO of Leijenaar Electronics B.V., developing state-of-the-art RF electronics. Will be presenting at IPAC2025 (Taipei) with the aim of finding partners.
William Leijenaar received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the HTS Telecommunication Venlo, The Netherlands, in 2003. He used his homemade UHF-VHF linear transponder design as part of his thesis project, which was later launched into space as a payload on India's HAMSAT satellite, where it served the worldwide ham community for many years. In 2004, he joined ,Philips Eindhoven, The Netherlands, where he conducted research at the tuner department. In 2006, he moved to NXP Semiconductors CATV department, Nijmegen, The Netherlands, as RF Design Engineer where he was tasked with the development of CATV hybrid power-doublers and push-pull amplifiers. From 2012 till 2015 he worked on broadband amplifiers as an Application Engineer and between 2015 and 2018 as a Validation Engineer. He joined Ampleon Netherlands BV in 2018 as Infrared Characterization Engineer, tasked with thermal characterization of high power LDMOS and GaN RF transistors. At the beginning of 2020, he became a senior RF Application Engineer responsible for customer support and the development of high-power RF demo boards. In 2022 he started his own company Leijenaar Electronics, where he does his own product development and provides RF development work for other companies, including prototyping, assembly and RF characterization using his own equipment. In addition, Leijenaar Electronics also develops its own products, such as the powerful RF amplifier module for particle accelerator amplifier systems that will be shown at the IPAC2025 in Taipei.
