Data-Driven BPM Platform for Manufacturing SME

Alexey Anshakov

CTO at ViaKosmo

About

ViaKosmo LTD, a Polish SME specializing in process automation solutions and chemical distribution, is seeking a collaborative Taiwanese manufacturing SME partner for a joint Research & Development (R&D) project.

Project Goal: To co-develop and pilot an innovative, accessible, data-driven Business Process Management (BPM) platform specifically designed to optimize processes within manufacturing environments and their associated supply chains.

Our Platform Concept: We are developing a next-generation BPM platform based on Process-as-a-Service (PraaS) principles and semantic web technologies (JSON-LD). Key features include:

  • Visual BPMN 2.0 process modeling & execution.

  • A semantic "Business API" for flexible B2B process integration with suppliers and customers.

  • A collaborative "GitHub for Processes" model for sharing best practices.

Why This Matters for Manufacturing SMEs: Existing BPM/ERP solutions are often too complex, expensive, or lack the real-time data integration needed by dynamic manufacturing SMEs. Our platform aims to provide an affordable, configurable solution to:

  • Increase production line visibility and efficiency through real-time monitoring integrated with business logic.

  • Optimize inventory management and logistics based on actual production data.

  • Improve collaboration and data exchange with supply chain partners.

  • Automate routine tasks, reducing costs and errors (Our internal pilot showed potential savings of up to 12h/week/manager).

Ideal Taiwanese Partner: We are looking for a forward-thinking manufacturing SME (any sector, e.g., electronics, machinery, components, textiles, etc.) that:

  • Is interested in digital transformation and process optimization.

  • Has production processes where real-time data monitoring and automation could bring significant benefits.

  • Is willing to actively participate in requirements definition, provide a relevant use case for piloting the platform within their operations, and offer feedback during development.

  • Is interested in joint R&D activities, potentially leveraging national or international funding schemes like Globalstars.

Collaboration Benefits:

  • Gain early access to an innovative BPM platform tailored for SMEs.

  • Opportunity to co-shape the platform based on your specific needs.

  • Potential for significant, quantifiable improvements in operational efficiency.

  • Access to Polish/EU markets and potential for long-term strategic partnership.

  • Joint participation in funded R&D projects.

Next Steps: If your company is interested in exploring this R&D collaboration opportunity, please contact us. We are eager to discuss potential synergies and define a joint project outline.

About ViaKosmo: ViaKosmo LTD combines expertise in chemical distribution with a strong focus on developing practical automation and semantic technology solutions for SMEs, leveraging experience from successful EU R&D projects (e.g., Fed4FIRE+).
