About

ViaKosmo LTD invites collaboration on the DDBPM-SME project, an initiative to revolutionize Business Process Management for industrial Small and Medium-sized Enterprises operating in complex supply chains. Current BPM solutions often fail to meet SMEs’ needs, particularly in affordable real-time data integration from physical operations and seamless, flexible B2B process collaboration with supply chain partners. Led by ViaKosmo, the DDBPM-SME project is developing an innovative, data-driven platform to address these challenges, currently at TRL 6 Proof-of-Concept through a Polish-Swiss research and innovation program. The platform empowers SMEs by ingesting and processing data from edge devices, such as sensors on shipments or warehouse equipment, with minimal latency, enabling instant process reactions and proactive decision-making. Its novel Business API, based on JSON-LD, embeds rich contextual meaning into B2B interactions, facilitating easier and more flexible process integration with supply chain partners, reducing costs, and enhancing interoperability. Through a Process-as-a-Service model and a GitHub for Processes concept, SMEs can build and adapt business applications using reusable, BPMN 2.0-compliant process modules, share and discover process templates, and foster community-driven innovation, lowering adoption barriers. Designed as a cloud-native SaaS solution with no-code/low-code configuration, it ensures practicality for SMEs with limited IT resources. Building on ViaKosmo’s internal pilot, which achieved over 400% ROI and saved up to 12 hours per week per manager through back-office automation, DDBPM-SME aims to extend these benefits across entire value chains. We seek collaboration with industrial SMEs, particularly in manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, or distribution, to join as pilot users or validation partners, offering the chance to test and shape the platform, influence its development, and explore efficiency gains and improved B2B collaboration. We also invite technology providers with complementary solutions in industrial IoT sensors, connectivity, AI/ML algorithms for process optimization, or SME-focused data visualization and business intelligence tools, as well as research institutions with expertise in advanced BPM methodologies, semantic web technologies, ontologies for industrial domains, or human-computer interaction for SME software usability. Additionally, we welcome system integrators and IT consultants serving SMEs to explore offering the DDBPM-SME platform to their clients. Collaborating with ViaKosmo, an experienced project coordinator with a track record in EU-funded projects and software development, provides early access to a next-generation BPM platform, the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge R&D with strong innovation potential, and the potential for future commercial partnerships and joint market offerings. If you are interested in enhancing industrial SME competitiveness through innovative BPM solutions, ViaKosmo is eager to discuss collaboration opportunities on the DDBPM-SME project.
