About

EcoResilience Lab is a nature-based learning environment on Gran Canaria, developed within The Route 66 Foundation, a Dutch non-profit organisation.

We work at the intersection of awareness, human behaviour and environmental responsibility, with a strong focus on ecological regeneration, the circular economy and the principles of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

We believe that meaningful change starts with awareness. From this foundation, ownership grows and is translated into action supporting the shift from ego-centric to eco-centric thinking, aligned with the Inner Development Goals (IDGs).

We invest in young people as key drivers of sustainable change, engaging them in hands-on experiences that strengthen responsibility, long-term thinking and connection to nature.

At the same time, we collaborate with organisations and companies that recognise sustainability as a human challenge. Through awareness-based programmes and experiential learning, we support transformational leadership , behavioural change and stewardship in practice.

Through our work in Gran Canaria, participants and partners actively contribute to a circular economy in practice. By combining nature-based learning, circular thinking and experiential leadership, we contribute to a growing movement in which the next generation is not only involved, but actively shaping a regenerative future and the legacy we leave behind.

We are open to partnerships that translate sustainability, circular principles and SDG–IDG alignment into meaningful and lasting impact.
