HippoFarm (Indoorfarming facility)

Hippotainer develops and operates modular, container-based indoor farms (“Hippofarms”) for Small Island Developing States (SIDS), enabling reliable, year‑round local production of fresh vegetables in markets that currently import up to 98% of their produce. We provide a full farm-to-shelf solution: we grow crops in controlled environments, then handle post-harvest processing, quality control, packaging, and ready-for-sale delivery to retail and hospitality customers through contracted B2B offtake. Combining Wageningen-based cultivation expertise with strict operating protocols and hands-on local training, we deliver guaranteed weekly output, consistent quality, and predictable supply while building local capacity—training and employing a new generation of climate-adaptive growers and operators. We are seeking €1,000,000 in investment to finance the asset-backed deployment of Hippofarm infrastructure (growing units and renewable energy assets), accelerating scalable roll-out across SIDS with measurable impact on food security, resilience, and local jobs.
