Reef Voices

Reef Voices is seeking pilot partners and funding across three initial sites for a programme that establishes site-specific AI agents at each reef monitoring and logging interventions against ocean and reef health outcomes, building a community-owned evidence base for what works in each location.

Reef Voices tackles core conservation gaps: science that never reaches the people doing the protecting, global disconnection from reef damage, and data-hungry policy making. Data is translated into daily podcast episodes, enhanced with local art installations and accessible worldwide. As pilots grow, so does the understanding and data of what is place-specific, what is global, and what works.

Built open-source with a replication toolkit planned, the model is designed for independent adoption at reef sites globally. Integrated income through podcast subscriptions, data licensing and exhibition admission makes each site financially self-sustaining over time.
