I'm a passionate biomedical scientist and lifelong learner who enjoys challenges. Recently, I embraced the role of ambassador for a great idea: integrating Brazilian Life Science startups into the Swiss ecosystem.
My organisation
This initiative aims to strengthen the partnership between the Brazilian and Swiss life sciences sectors, with a focus on the growth and international reach of biotechnology startups. Its main objective is to foster collaboration by bridging these two innovative markets through structured, expert-led training, strategic networking, and stakeholder engagement. The initiative centers on three key goals: establishing a long-term strategic partnership, pinpointing market barriers and opportunities, and promoting innovation through active engagement from industry stakeholders. By targeting these areas, the program seeks to create a more integrated environment for biotech development. Expected Outcomes include: a comprehensive analysis of market barriers and opportunities, identification of training needs and support mechanisms for startups, and detailed stakeholder mapping for future cross-border collaborations. The target audience comprises: Brazilian startups with scalable biotech solutions seeking to expand into Switzerland, and Swiss startups—including those founded by Brazilians—interested in entering the Brazilian market. This initiative provides the tools and connections needed to catalyze startups ready to scale their innovations globally.
About me
An experienced scientific researcher with over 15 years of expertise in molecular techniques, genomics, immunology, and clinical genetics, I have a strong background in RNA biology, NGS-based assays, and data analysis. I am passionate about applying my knowledge of molecular techniques, bioinformatics, and my postgraduate degree in Data Science to contribute to innovative projects in nucleic-acid-based medicines. My research has primarily focused on rare and hereditary immune disorders, with an emphasis on DNA, RNA, and molecular biology. I am dedicated to advancing cutting-edge genomic technologies and translational research. Additionally, I bring three years of community management experience, demonstrating excellent communication, networking, and collaboration skills in both scientific and patient-focused settings. I thrive in dynamic, inclusive research environments that foster interdisciplinary teamwork. Moreover, I serve as an ambassador for the motivating goal of enhancing strategic collaboration between Brazilian and Swiss start-ups and their ecosystems within the life sciences sector. My work involves identifying gaps, creating opportunities through training, networking, and expert involvement to stimulate innovation and support the growth of biotechnology start-ups, promoting international connections and expanding the reach of biotech innovation.
