REM Analytics develops targeted microbiome diagnostics at species-to-strain resolution: validated clinical panels and custom assays for health and nutrition.
REM Analytics SA is a biotechnology company spun out from EPFL in 2020, based at the BioArk in Monthey, Switzerland. The company develops high-resolution microbiome assays and testing services, with species-to-strain level quantification across vaginal, gut and soil matrices. The proprietary ATGC platform combines Cycling Temperature Capillary Electrophoresis with curated reference databases and specialised bioinformatics. Validated panels include a CE-IVD marked vaginal microbiome panel, a Bifidobacterium subspecies panel for gut health research and a Bacillus soil profiling panel, with results delivered within days. REM offers end-to-end management of microbiome-focused clinical studies, from protocol design and ethics submission through to analysis and publication, using validated at-home collection kits and a dedicated participant app. Specific expertise covers studies designed for ANVISA regulatory submissions in Brazil, supported by an established clinical network in São Paulo. REM is active in Horizon Europe consortia and InnoSuisse programmes and is open to international partnerships for collaborative research projects, clinical study collaborations and co-development of microbiome diagnostic solutions.
