ADAPFI-BIO – Confidence-Aware AI for Personalised Biotherapy and Treatment Monitoring

ADAPFI is developing ADAPFI-BIO, a confidence-aware artificial intelligence framework for personalised monitoring and adaptation of biotherapies using longitudinal multimodal biomarkers.

The technology is intended to combine clinical, biological, imaging, omics and patient-reported data to:

• estimate an individual patient’s evolving health and treatment-response state;
• predict treatment efficacy, loss of response and adverse reactions;
• detect early anomalies or clinically significant changes;
• manage missing, noisy, heterogeneous or contradictory measurements;
• quantify uncertainty and abstain when the available evidence is insufficient; and
• support clinicians in treatment monitoring and personalised decision-making.

ADAPFI contributes expertise in adaptive state estimation, multimodal data fusion, prediction, anomaly detection, uncertainty quantification and confidence-aware intelligent control. The technology is designed as clinical decision support and does not replace clinical judgement.

We are seeking partners for Horizon Europe Health 2027 proposals, particularly:

• hospitals and clinical centres with longitudinal treatment cohorts;
• biotechnology and biopharmaceutical companies developing biotherapies;
• laboratories specialising in multimodal biomarkers, omics or medical imaging;
• clinical experts in chronic inflammatory, autoimmune, oncological or other non-communicable diseases;
• specialists in adverse drug reactions, pharmacovigilance and treatment safety;
• experts in clinical validation, ethics, regulation and health-data governance; and
• project coordinators or consortia preparing proposals on personalised medicine and innovative healthcare interventions.

The objective is to jointly select a defined clinical use case, conduct a retrospective proof of concept and prepare prospective clinical validation.
