Partnering on Vaccine, Antibody, Peptide and Drug Design through Computational Biology

Scientist à University of Saskatchewan

Saskatoon, Canada

Détails

I am interested in building partnerships with research groups, universities, biotechnology companies and multidisciplinary consortia working on infectious diseases, vaccines, therapeutics and related areas.

My background combines computational chemistry, immunoinformatics, structural biology, bioinformatics and experimental immunology. In collaborative projects, I can contribute to the design and prioritization of vaccines, antibodies, therapeutic peptides and antiviral or other small-molecule drugs.

Depending on the project, I can support antigen and epitope discovery, B- and T-cell epitope prediction, MHC/SLA analysis, antibody–antigen modelling, protein–protein and peptide–protein interactions, molecular docking, virtual screening, molecular dynamics simulations, free-energy analysis and AI/ML-based candidate prioritization. I also work with comparative genomics, sequence analysis and bioinformatics pipeline development.

What I value most in a partnership is the connection between computation and experiment. My goal is not simply to generate predictions, but to help answer practical research questions: Which target should we focus on? Which candidates are most promising? Why might they work? And which ones are worth taking forward for experimental validation?

Because I also have wet-lab experience, I can communicate effectively with experimental teams and design computational workflows with downstream validation in mind. I am particularly interested in projects where structural and computational approaches can reduce the experimental search space, improve candidate selection and accelerate the development of new vaccines and therapeutics.

I am open to joining Horizon Europe consortia and other international collaborations where my expertise can complement experimental, clinical, veterinary, immunology, virology, microbiology, AI or drug-development teams.
