Computational Structural Chemistry & Bioinformatics Support for Vaccine, Antibody, Peptide & Drug Design
Scientist à University of Saskatchewan
Saskatoon, Canada
Détails
I am interested in joining or co-developing Horizon Europe projects in infectious diseases, One Health, pandemic preparedness, vaccine development, antiviral discovery and related biomedical research.
I am a Scientist at the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization (VIDO), University of Saskatchewan, with expertise spanning computational chemistry, immunoinformatics, structural biology, bioinformatics and artificial intelligence. My work focuses on using computational approaches to design and prioritize vaccines, antibodies, therapeutic peptides and antiviral drugs for experimental validation.
I can contribute to collaborative projects through antigen discovery and vaccine design, B- and T-cell epitope prediction, MHC/SLA analysis, population-coverage assessment, antibody–antigen modelling, peptide–protein and protein–protein docking, structure-based drug discovery, virtual screening, molecular dynamics simulations, free-energy analysis and AI/ML-based candidate prioritization. I also have experience in bioinformatics pipeline development, comparative genomics, sequence analysis and host–pathogen interaction studies.
A particular strength I bring to collaborations is the ability to connect in silico discovery with experimental research. My background includes wet-lab experience in protein expression and purification, ELISA, Western blotting, PCR/RT-PCR, cloning and cell-based assays, allowing computational workflows to be designed with experimental feasibility and downstream validation in mind.
My current and recent research includes work on PRRSV, African swine fever virus, PEDV, Lawsonia intracellularis, coronaviruses and influenza-related targets, covering both vaccine development and antiviral discovery. I have also contributed as a co-applicant to funded vaccine-development projects and work within multidisciplinary teams involving immunology, virology, structural biology and computational science.
I am particularly interested in partnerships where computational approaches can help reduce the experimental search space, identify stronger candidates, understand molecular mechanisms and accelerate translation from discovery to experimental validation.
